Alvaro Morata finally made his Chelsea debut today and the Spaniard proved he is worth breaking the bank for despite starting from the bench.

With Chelsea losing 3-0 at home to Burnley, the introduction of Morata sparked a revival for Chelsea and the Blues almost came from behind to draw the game, with the scores eventually ending 3-2.

These are three things we learned from his performance:

CONFIDENCE

Despite Chelsea being down and depressed, Morata came on with fire and his confidence sparked a Chelsea revival. He didn’t let his price tag weigh him down and the look on his face while replacing Batshuayi showed he was coming in to make a difference.

TEAM PLAY

The Spain international is really a team player and knows when to be selfish and when to blend with the team. He formed an effective partnership with the rest of the team and was the final piece in the Chelsea attack — something we missed in the first half.

QUICK AND DIRECT PLAY

With Morata’s performance today, I can only look forward to the return of Eden Hazard to the Chelsea team. Morata’s quality will definitely be shown when our attacking strength is complete with Hazard, Pedro and Willian.

Morata teamed up well with the rest of the team and it didn’t even look like it was his debut. His quick and direct football caused many problems for Burnley.

If there’s one place Morata doesn’t deserve to be, it’s on the bench.

  1. Let Morata be starting the game because he has it in him so Morata his the best let’s give him 70-80 minutes qnd he will be scoring

  2. Morata is a kind of player who has hunger of goals. He proved to be in the starting line-up after good performance against Burnely. Conte, give Morata chance to start the next game against Tottenham.
