Since Sir Alex Ferguson successfully led Manchester United to defend their Premier League title in 2009, after winning the league for three consecutive seasons, no Premier League club have achieved such a feat.

Chelsea ended the last season as champions and the Blues will be looking to defend the title this season.

Chelsea skipper Gary Cahill has spoken on the pressure on the team to win the league back to back.

“The pressure is on of course,” said the Chelsea skipper. “The pressure is on every season, the pressure is on for the club and for the players to win. We realise what happened the last time we won the title. There are still a lot of players involved in that who had that experience they don’t want again. So we have to mindful of that and compete how we usually do.”
