Kenedy brought Chelsea to bad light when he posted some derogatory messages on social media and some even viewed it as racist against the people of China.
China, a huge market in the football world threatened to ban Chelsea from coming to their country due to the incident. But the country has taken a lenient approach after Chelsea apologised for the incident and sent the Brazilian home.
Kenedy himself issued an apology which has been accepted by China.
A spokeswoman said: “We have taken notice of the inappropriate behaviors involving Mr. Robert Kenedy, the strong reaction of the fans as well as the apologies made by Mr. Kenedy himself and Chelsea Football Club.
“We insist that football helps bring people together, not apart, build bridges and friendship, not walls and hatred.
“A professional player serves as role model of the society and the world at large. We hope the club and the players have learnt a good lesson from the incident.”
