Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is said to be unsettled with the German champions and criticised his team-mates earlier this month, accusing them of not doing enough to make him Germany’s top scorer.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ended the season as the topscorer in the German league, scoring 32 goals as Lewandowski scored 31, and the Poland international is unhappy that his teammates didn’t help him become the topscorer last season.
Lewandowski’s agent, Maik Barthel, has followed up and confirmed that Lewandowski is unhappy. He said: “Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach [ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti] gave no call to help him in the last game to win the top-scorer title.
“He was disappointed as I have ever seen him before.”
Chelsea are now trying to capitalise on the situation and have now made a serious enquiry about the 28-year-old striker.
Will the 28-year-old be interested in a move to the Premier League champions?
