Chelsea are champions and the Blues celebrated the title on Sunday, in the team’s last game of the season against Sunderland.
Chelsea bought back David Luiz on transfer deadline day, and Manchester United legend Gary Neville has admitted that Conte’s choice of playing Luiz in a back three is the best decision any manager made in the league this season.
The Manchester United legend said on Sky Sports: “I think they do most things very well. I think that in different points in the season, like when the lost that game at home to Crystal Palace, they responded straight away.
“I think it’s got a strength of character and experience. I think it’s a little bit of a throwback this last couple of seasons, whereby we’ve had a lot of consistency in the two teams in Leicester and Chelsea in terms of the starting XI’s.
“I would say ultimately the spine of the team has been fantastic, the tactical switch of the season.
“Settling David Luiz into that back three and getting him to be a rock was quite possibly the best managerial thing that I’ve seen this season.
“We all doubted when he signed for the club, whether he could perform, whether he could win a championship with him.
“To do what they’ve done is fantastic and they’ve been by far the best team.”
