Antonio Conte is definitely enjoying his maiden season in the Premier League. The Italian is managing a club outside of his homeland for the first time in his career, and he has so far done a good job.
He has brought new-found belief to the Chelsea squad, and is close to winning the Premier League title in just his first season as Chelsea manager.
Reports in Conte’s homeland suggest he is wanted by Inter Milan, and former Everton defender Andy Hinchcliffe believes Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona could get attracted by Conte’s success and choose to employ his services.
He told Sky Sports: “I just wonder with Conte, if things don’t go well of course he could be sacked, is there a possibility he could tempted away – Real Madrid, Barcelona – if he does well?
“Do you think he can see himself at Chelsea in the next five years?”
Although he admitted that Conte could face Abramovich’s sack if he doesn’t continue with the success.
“It’s testament to the club in many ways and the playing staff,” Hinchcliffe said.
“You chop and change the coaches with different styles yet you’re still able to win consistently.
“You probably wouldn’t think that would happen.
“You’d need stability to put in place a process and a way of playing.”
