Chelsea will host Peterborough in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday, and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will give opportunities to some first team players who are outside his favoured first 11.
Conte has already revealed that he’ll start Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma, but who else will the Italian start?
See some of those players that could start on Sunday:
The Chelsea number 2 will most likely be in goal on Sunday, after playing second-fiddle to Thibaut Courtois all season long.
The Serbian captain, who was an important player for Conte in the beginning of the season, hasn’t started a league game since Conte’s switch to 3-4-3. He would most likely feature against Peterborough.
From being a very key player at the start of the season, Terry has gone to be an influential player, only outside the pitch, and if fit, Conte will definitely give him a start.
The young midfielder is highly favoured by the Italian, and he’s gradually breaking into the Chelsea first 11. He might be given a rare start on Sunday.
The young academy product is highly rated by Conte, and could be given a start as a wing-back against Peterborough.
Other senior team players that Conte will most likely add to the list besides Zouma and Batshuayi include: N’Golo Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta, Eden Hazard and Willian. Cesc Fabregas will most likely feature, having missed the starting lineup against Spurs.
