Juventus and AC Milan had played a 1-1 draw in the Super Copa, and with the scores ending in a draw after extra time, the game headed into penalties.
Young Blues midfielder Mario Pasalic on loan to AC Milan scored the last kick of the shootout, and he has called it the best kick of his career.
“I tried to stay relaxed and calm, because I knew it was the penalty for the trophy,” the midfielder on loan from Chelsea told Mediaset Premium.
“I am 21 years old, I felt all the responsibility on my back, it was the most important kick of my career, there were big emotions and I am very happy.
“It felt unbelievable, all the emotions came, I remembered when I was a child I dreamed of something like this, so I’m very happy.
“I dedicate it to my family, my friends and all those who helped me in my career.”
Pasalic is only on loan from Chelsea, but AC Milan might want to keep the youngster on a permanent deal.
He said: “We will see at the end of the season.”
