Many of Chelsea’s loan players were in action for their respective clubs during the weekend.

After being on the fringes of the Bournemouth team, Nathan Ake was fielded in Bournemouth’s central defence for the second game running away at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, and the 21-year-old impressed immensely despite their 3-1 loss to the Gunners.

In Italian Serie A, Mario Pasalic gained some game time as AC Milan beat Empoli 4-1 away from home. However, all the scoring had taken place by the time of the midfielder’s substitution.

In the Bundesliga, Andreas Christensen played the whole game as Borussia Monchengladbach played a 1-1 draw at home against Hoffenheim.

In the Dutch league, Bertrand Traore helped Ajax to a 1-0 away win at Heerenveen which moves them level on points with leaders Feyenoord who only drew at the weekend. Lewis Baker played the whole game for Vitesse as they also drew 2-2 against Excelsior.

Kenneth Omeruo and Alanyaspor won 3-0 against Kayserispor in Turkey. It was a weekend to forget for Royal Mouscron and goalkeeper Matej Delac. They conceded seven goals to Anderlecht without reply. Islam Feruz was given his first start for Mouscron and played 64 minutes.

Tammy Abraham played the 90 minutes for Bristol City in a 2-1 defeat away at Reading. They have been in bad form in 4 games and a yet to see a win in their last 4 games.

Fulham lost 2-1 at home and Tomas Kalas played the full match for Fulham but Lucas Piazon was only introduced by Slavisa Jokanovic for the final few minutes.

For Christian Atsu, he was part of the Newcastle team who had their lead in the Championship cut to two points due to a 1-0 home defeat by lowly Blackburn.

Rotherham’s struggles continue despite the recent recruitment of Kenny Jackett as boss. Izzy Brown played the full game as the bottom club went down 2-1 at home to Leeds.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
